Inglesina Quid 2 Review: A Travel Stroller with an Upright Seat!

In this Inglesina Quid 2 review, I’m breaking down whether this Italian ultra-lightweight travel stroller with a nice upright seat is the right option for you. There are way too many travel strollers around today, and finding which one is right for your family can be a real challenge.

I’ve taken this stroller on several trips—airports, cobblestone streets, Florida, you name it—so I can tell you exactly what works and what doesn’t.

At just 13 lbs, it folds small enough to fit in most airplane overhead bins and has an upright seat that’s great for toddlers. But, of course, no stroller is perfect. I’ll walk you through what I loved, what annoyed me, and whether it’s worth grabbing while it’s on sale.

It’s currently on sale for $249, AND you can get an additional 20% off when you use my code STROLLERMOM20. That brings your final price down to just $199! The code stacks with the sale link, and you’ll also get a free travel bag with your purchase!

Why Trust Me?

Looking for honest baby gear reviews you can trust? I get it. When I was pregnant with my first, I struggled to find real, mom-tested reviews that didn’t feel like sales pitches. That’s why I started The Stroller Mom—because baby gear is an investment, and every parent wants the best for their kids.

Since then, I’ve helped thousands of parents like you navigate the overwhelming world of baby gear by sharing my honest experiences. As a mom of three kids ages four and under, I personally use every product I recommend, sharing what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between—so you can make the right choice for your family. I’ve tested over 75 strollers, and I know the details that matter in daily life.

Inglesina Quid From Top to Bottom

If you’ve seen my YouTube videos, you know I cover all the details that matter most to parents. In this section, I’ll walk you through the Inglesina Quid from top to bottom, highlighting key features that could help you decide if this is the right stroller for your needs. If you choose to purchase after reading this review, I would greatly appreciate you shopping through my link and don’t forget to use code STROLLERMOM20. Let’s start from the top!

The Handlebar

Quid Handlebar

The handlebar is non-adjustable, which is standard for travel strollers. However, it feels premium and comfortable to grip. The folding triggers are placed on the sides, keeping the handlebar area sleek and uncluttered.

The Canopy

The canopy offers excellent sun protection with its anti-UV treated fabric (UPF 50+ rating) and a zip-out extendable hood. One of my favorite features is the magnetic peek-a-boo window, which has a magnet to keep it open and closed! The coverage is sufficient for most sunny outings and keeps your little one shaded.

The Seat

The Quid stroller seat is one of the most upright seats among travel strollers, THIS is a game changer for the toddler years. It reclines to 155°, making it suitable for babies three months and older. The seat is well-padded and comfortable, with an adjustable calf rest.

The 5-point harness is easy to use, though it does not have a no-rethread harness, which may be a minor inconvenience for some parents with multiple kids of varying ages using the stroller. The seat back is not the tallest, but my tall 2—and 4-year-olds were very comfortable in this stroller (Seat dimensions: 14″ W x 16″ H). A helpful extra feature is a roll-up ventilation window behind the seat, allowing added airflow. This will be amazing for warmer climates or Disney!

The Bumper Bar

Quid bumper bar

The bumper bar is wrapped in leather, adding a premium feel. It makes the stroller easy to lift in and out of your car when folded. It can even open to one side and is also removable, making it easier to get a toddler in and out of the stroller or fit it in an overhead bin.

The Footrest

The adjustable footrest provides extra comfort for nap time and those early years (up to around 18 months). Additionally, there is a lower footrest, which is a great feature for older toddlers who like extra leg support.

The Brake

The brake is a one-foot brake that is flip-flop friendly and easy to use. However, its central placement means taller parents might kick it accidentally while walking. This is something to consider if you have a longer stride.

The Basket and Storage

The basket storage space is on the smaller side. While it can fit loose items, larger diaper bags can be a tight squeeze. I took this to Florida and had to wear my Dagne Dover medium diaper bag because it did not fit in the basket when it was full. Entry from the front helps, but the stability bar limits space. It’s best used for essentials like diapers, wipes, and small toys rather than bulkier bags.

Inglesina Quid Infant and Car Seat Compatibility

The Inglesina Quid is not car seat compatible and is best for children aged 3 months and older. If you need a travel stroller that works with an infant car seat or bassinet, this might not be the right fit for you.

Inglesina Quid 2 Folding, Unfolding, and Ease of Use

Folding the Inglesina Quid is simple and requires pulling the two triggers on the sides. One of the best updates in the new Quid Stroller Safari line is that the stroller now locks shut when folded. This makes it much easier to handle when loading it into a car or overhead bin. I also like that there is not a latch. You just push the same two buttons to unfold it as you do to fold it.

If you remove the bumper bar, it is small enough to fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane (except for tiny planes). Another standout feature is that the stroller stands upright when folded, thanks to the self-standing kickstand function. At just 13 lbs, it is easy to carry around by the carry strap on the side. While a one-handed fold is nice, this stroller is lightweight enough to occasionally fold and unfold it with a baby on my hip.

Maneuverability & Performance of the Inglesina Quid 2

Not the best on sand 😉

This stroller performs well on flat surfaces- city streets, sidewalks, and smooth terrain. It handles cobblestones and uneven terrains decently but is not the smoothest ride compared to larger, more robust strollers. While it struggles on sand (as most travel strollers do), it offers a smooth push on paved surfaces. A one-handed push is possible, though it handles best with two hands.
