I’m excited to share my honest thoughts on the affordable Diono Quantum 4 3-in-1 Travel System. This stroller comes with everything you need, including an infant car seat with a steel anti-rebound bar, a car mirror, a fully functional stroller, and a parent organizer that will last into the toddler years. If you’re looking for a versatile, affordable travel system that grows with your child, this may be a good fit.
If you’re new here, I’m Emily, AKA The Stroller Mom. I review strollers and other baby gear from a mom’s perspective. I test every stroller I review with my three children to help uncover the details parents care most about. I have been testing the new Diono travel system for a few months after Diono sent me the stroller, and I am sharing my honest review in this post.

Diono Quantum 4 Quick Summary
If you’re short on time, here are the main highlights of the Diono Quantum 4 Travel System:
- For $379, you get a stroller, car seat, parent organizer, and car seat mirror. Diono also gave me a code for 15% off (Use link and code: strollermom15).
- The LiteClik®30 R SafePlus® Infant Car Seat is suitable for newborns. At around three months, you can start using the stroller seat for up to 50 lbs.
- Diono is known for safety in car seats, and I was very impressed with the ease of use and quality of the Diono LiteClik 30 R SafePlus. Plus, it’s even approved in Canada!
- You get many of the features of many high-end travel systems, but because of its price point, you will notice a difference in the quality of the materials.
- With purchase, you get a $50 credit for the next car seat your baby will need, and I have a full blog post comparing the different options here: https://thestrollermomblog.com/featured/best-diono-car-seats/

Price and What’s Included
The Diono Quantum 4 retails for around $299 (15% off with link and code strollermom15). For that price, you get a complete travel system that includes:
- LiteClik®30 R SafePlus® Infant Car Seat and Base
- Quantum® 4 Stroller
- Car Seat Mirror
- Buggy Buddy® Stroller Organizer
This travel system is a complete package at a great price point, so you won’t need to buy extra adapters or accessories to make it ready to use from day one. Diono also sells a Hop ‘n Roll Rider board, which is an amazing addition to the stroller as your family grows.
From Top to Bottom: The Diono Quantum 4
If you’ve seen my reviews, you know I go over every detail that could impact your experience as a parent. Let’s review each part of the Quantum 4, from the handlebar to the brake.
Handlebar
The Quantum 4 features a telescopic handle, which adjusts in and out at the push of a button — my preferred type of handlebar adjustment. It’s a great option for both taller and shorter parents, providing a comfortable push for everyone. The telescopic handlebar also pairs well with the Hop n Roll rider board as your family grows, allowing a toddler to fit easily underneath without interfering with your stride or the stroller’s push.
The handlebar is foam, which is not my favorite material for strollers but is common for budget strollers. Depending on your climate, it can dry out, so be careful not to store it in the sunlight.
Canopy
The UPF 50+ canopy on this stroller offers full-coverage sun-protection, thanks to an expanding zipper panel that extends the canopy for added shade. While it’s not the most generous coverage I’ve seen, it does the trick. Plus, the reversible seat makes it easy to adjust the setup when you need a little extra protection from the sun. It also has a velcro peekaboo window, which is not my favorite because it wakes up napping kids!
Seat
The stroller seat offers both parent-facing and outward-facing modes, which I love in a stroller. It also has a bassinet nest mode for smaller babies that comes out under the footrest and snaps. It does not offer a no re-thread harness.
However, the seat does not have the most upright position or the tallest seat back, and the materials in the seat definitely felt a little cheap to me. It will definitely get the job done, though, and I would rather have the cheaper materials in the stroller than the car seat.
Bumper Bar
The bumper bar is included, and swings open, making getting your child in and out simple. Just a heads-up: You may need to adjust it slightly to ensure it clicks securely. I often had to play with it to get it to latch back in.
Footrest
An adjustable footrest is nice and adds comfort for both naps, the baby stage, and longer strolls. However, if you want to use the lower plastic footrest, the top footrest does not allow this one to be used because it does not lock far enough back. I don’t use a stroller with my 4-year-old, but this would not be the best for her age if I did.
Brake
The brake is a one-touch flip-flop-friendly brake.
Basket and Storage
The Diono Quantum stroller has a large storage basket that can handle up to 10 lbs, offering convenient storage for all your on-the-go essentials. I really put this big basket to the test, as you can see in this reel I made using the stroller. The included Buggy Buddy organizer is also a handy spot for keys, your phone, or a water bottle, making it even easier to keep everything within reach.
Diono Quantum 4 Folding and Unfolding
The Quantum 4 offers a two-handed fold trigger type fold (just like the Uppababy Vista) and stands on its own when folded, which is a lifesaver for those of us juggling multiple tasks.
Car Seat Compatibility
The Quantum 4 is compatible with the included LiteClik®30 R SafePlus® Infant Car Seat, which clicks directly into the stroller without the need for adapters, making for an easy installation. The car seat is engineered for safety, featuring automotive grade steel, energy-absorbing foam, and bubble level indicators to ensure the proper angle every time. One thing to note: it only works with Diono strollers, so this may not be the best option if you’re looking for cross-brand compatibility.
Maneuverability & Performance
The Diono Quantum 4 delivers a smooth ride on city streets and paved trails, but it’s not built for all terrains. It handles urban environments well, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone frequently navigating gravel or rougher terrain.
