I’m excited to share my honest review of the Bombi Bebee V3 because this stroller has been one of my top picks in the affordable travel stroller category since the V2. The Bombi Bebee V2 had that viral fold the internet loved, a decent storage basket, and a decently upright seat at a great price point. However, it was missing a few things, like a newborn recline, which we now have all that and more in the V3!

Handlebar and Canopy
The materials on this stroller have gotten better with every version. The V3 has a softer feel than the V2 and is made with Oeko-Tex certified material, meaning it’s free from many harmful chemicals. There are also several color options to choose from, so you can customize your stroller to your style.
The handlebar has nice leatherette detailing and sits at a comfortable height. It is not adjustable, but most travel strollers in this category are not. At 5’5″, I had no issues pushing, and my husband, at 6 feet, had no issues kicking the back of the stroller either.
Now let’s talk about the canopy, because Bombi made a really smart update here! They moved the peekaboo window closer to the parent, which is amazing! On the V2, when you extended the canopy, the window would move forward and away from you. On the V3, your baby’s visibility stays closest to you no matter where the canopy is positioned. I was able to roll the peekaboo window open and have it stay, even on windy days.
The canopy coverage is very good overall. It is a little easier to move back and forth than the previous version, but you will hear a little clicking when moving it. One thing about strollers like this with a high canopy is that they can sometimes touch your hands when you are pushing without the canopy extended. I have learned a trick with the Bombi Bebee V3. Just click the canopy into one position forward, and it will not touch your hands, and you can still see your child.
Seat, Harness, Bumper Bar, and Footrest
As far as other travel strollers go, it is not the most upright or the most reclined, but even still, my kids were comfortable in the seat. Here is a tip: if you want a slightly more upright position, pull the harness straps a little tighter, and it adjusts the seat angle just enough. I also found that if I loaded a lot of stuff behind the seat, it tended to pull the seat back, so I recommend using your storage basket or cup holder for holding your things.
The V3 now has no-rethread harnessing, which is great! As your child grows, you do not have to rethread the harness, which is a huge hassle. It is also super easy to loosen and tighten the straps with one hand, which I really liked. The buckles have been updated from the V2. They are slightly more elevated, but they are still plastic and not magnetic. With my toddler, who is in a very wiggly stage right now, I found I had to play with them a bit to get them to clip in. They are not the easiest buckles, but they get the job done.
There is a little storage pocket on the side of the seat for your child as they grow, which is a nice touch. The bumper bar looks elevated and premium, and it opens to let your child in and out easily.
The seat is decently deep, and Bombi extended the footrest to give even more length. You can move the footrest up and down one-handed with the little latches on each side. There is also a lower footrest for older kids.
Newborn Recline and Cocoon
My favorite update on the V3 is the newborn recline. With a push of a button, you can recline the seat into a deep, nap-friendly position, making the stroller usable from birth. Pull the footrest up, and your little one has a nice cozy space.
The back of the seat also has mesh for added airflow, which is so nice, especially if you are going to be taking this stroller to Disney or if using it on warm days.
When using the stroller from birth, you will want to use the newborn cocoon, which is stored right under the footrest. Just pull it out, and there are snaps on each side to secure it. You can use it with or without the bumper bar, which is convenient. To move the seat back into the most upright position, just pull the strap, which can be done with one hand.
The seat holds up to 55 lbs, which, for reference, my five-and-a-half-year-old (who does not really use a stroller anymore) is not even close to that weight. So this stroller has a lot of room to grow with your child.
Snack Tray
I have a love-hate relationship with the Bombi snack tray. Let me start with the love: every stroller brand should have a snack tray, and I am glad Bombi offers one. The snack compartment works well, it is super easy to open, so you can let your child in and out without dumping their snacks, and you can still fold the stroller with the snack tray attached.
Now the hate: the cup holder is too large. If you go over a bump or down a curb, your child’s water cup falls right out. I do not experience this with other snack trays, but with the Bombi, at least once every outing, a cup will fall out. That is my biggest beef with it… Otherwise, it is a great accessory.
Basket, Brake, and Storage
The basket is a decent size and holds up to 15 lbs. I was able to fit pretty much all of my diaper bags in it, which is always my real-world test for basket size.
Bombi added a little pocket for a tracking tag, which is one of my tips if you are heading to Disney. Disney will move your stroller, so bring a tracking tag! The brake is the one thing I wish they had updated the most from the V2. Engaging the brake is really easy, but to release it, you have to really jam your toe under it to turn it up, making it not flip-flop friendly. This is just something to keep in mind, especially if you live somewhere warm.
Wheels and Terrain
The wheels on this stroller are actually decent. I have taken the Bombi on gravel, cobblestone, and a variety of terrain. It is a little bumpy on rougher surfaces, but you are not getting stuck at every turn. If you are taking this to Europe or have an occasional need to go off the beaten path, as long as the ground is decently packed, you are going to do okay.
Bombi also now sells bigger wheels that you can swap on for even more terrain capability, but they will add weight.
Car Seat Compatibility
The V3 is compatible with many infant car seats with the purchase of Bombi’s adapters. The adapters use a buckle and strap system rather than the peg-style adapters you might be used to seeing, and I actually really like that because it is much more universal when switching between car seat brands.
Bombi has a full list of safety-tested infant car seats on its website, so be sure to check that before purchasing.
Folding, Unfolding, and Ease of Use
This is where the Bombi really shines. It has that easy viral fold that we all love to see. With two buttons pushed with one hand, you can fold the stroller, and it has that really nice auto-fold. The stroller latches together when folded, so you can grab it from the bumper bar or the handle to carry it. To open, push those same two buttons, and it pops open just as easily.
The stroller weighs 18.3 lbs with the bumper bar and cup holder attached. That is on the heavier side in the travel stroller category. However, the trade-off is that you are getting more features, terrain capabilities, and a newborn recline all in a more affordable stroller. It is still much easier to lift in and out of your trunk than many larger strollers, but it is not the lightest option out there.
As for overhead bins, it may not fit in all of them because of the weight and fold size, so keep that in mind if flying is your primary reason for buying a travel stroller.
