Lovevery was the brand everyone was talking about in 2020 when I had my first daughter. It was new, there were no dupes, and it was impossible to find secondhand. Three of my best friends went in on getting me the Play Gym for my Zoom Baby Shower (it was a weird time to be a new parent), and it has been one of my favorite baby items with all three of my kids. I recommend it to parents all the time and honestly believe it could be the only toy you need for your baby for the first 6 months.
I really wanted the play kits like many of my friends were getting, but we could only afford to get one, so I got the Sensor Kit and LOVED it.
Since then, I have had two more babies, and I have purchased many of the Lovevery play kits (both secondhand and new). I can honestly tell you that the ones below are 100% worth it.
There are good toys in every kit, but I have found that some are bigger hits than others. So if you are on the fence about which Lovevery play kit, toys, and books are worth the hype, then keep reading!

1. The Play Gym and Sensory Strands
I mentioned this one above in my intro, but it is for sure one of my most used baby items with my girls’ and friends’ kids. I wish it could fold (I did see this folding attachment on Etsy, but have not personally tried it), but the wooden frame helps it last beyond the first few months, and you can add your own toys while taking the included ones on the go.
The mat is made of organic cotton and is washable. The Black and White cards are amazing during the first few months; my girls LOVED the sensory strands, teething toy, ball, and batting ram. You can get it from Lovevery, Target, or Amazon!
2. The Charmer Play Kit (3-4 months)
Skip the Looker Play Kit and start with this one from birth instead! The mirror is suitable for use from birth, featuring high-contrast pictures on the back. I have tried to find an alternative, and this is the next best thing, but it’s not nearly as pretty or big as the Lovevery one. The Sensory book is amazing, with its rattles and crinkly toy. I think the Charmer PlayKit is 100% worth it, and my babies have used these toys for the full first year.
3. The Sensor Play Kit (5-6 Months
This was the first play kit I got with my first baby, and we loved it! The tissue box is great, the socks are so fun, and the spinning color wheel is so cool. I will share my favorite books from Lovevery below, but the Parts of Me book is one I still regularly read to my third baby, who just turned two.
4. The Babbler Play Kit
This might be my favorite play kit, and honestly, all my friends who have it say the same. Every toy is a hit, and my 2-year-old baby still plays with the ball drop. The puzzle is fun, the item sorter is unique, and something I enjoy doing with my babies, and the ring sorter is also great. I highly recommend this play kit and think it makes a great first birthday present.
5. The Helper Play Kit
The play sink has been the biggest hit with all three of my girls and is how I get dinner made most nights with a toddler. We have also had this one from Amazon, but it quickly broke, and the quality is better on the Lovevery one. The flowers are fun for pretend play, the girls enjoy sorting by color (although I don’t love keeping track of the small pieces), and I like the lift-the-flap muffin book. I keep the coloring set in my diaper bag, and it is great for restaurants.
Our Favorite Lovevery Books
Lovevery makes some amazing books with real pictures of kids. Why has someone else not thought of this? Seriously, kids LOVE looking at other kids, and Lovevery does a great job with this on the baby books. I have liked most of the baby books (we have not loved the toddler books as much), but these ones have been my girls’ favorites, and I love that you can not get them without having to purchase the full play kit.
The Bath Toys
I have not tried these yet, but they look amazing. I just placed an order and will be sure to update you all on what my girls think! We have tried numerous bath toys from Amazon over the years, and it’s challenging to find ones that actually last and are mold-free (and your kids actually like playing with)…
