Momcozy ChangeGo Review: A Stroller That Does It All… What’s the Catch?

Momcozy ChangeGo

The Momcozy ChangeGo is a single-to-double stroller that promises a lot: bassinet included out of the box, a wagon mode, 23 configurations, and a price point that turns heads (plus I have a code). After months of questions and requests for a full review, I tested it with my three kids, used it on everyday walks, and pushed it in double and wagon setups to see how it performs in real-life situations. Does it live up to the hype, or is it too good to be true? Here is my honest review!

Momcozy ChangeGo Quick Summary

  • Includes bassinet and modular toddler seat in the box, newborn and double stroller ready without a car seat or any extra adapters.
  • 23 total configurations, including single, double, and wagon modes, provide a lot of versatility.
  • Toddler seat rated to 50 lbs each, bassinet 20 lbs, wagon seats 75 lbs each (150 lbs total).
  • Pushes well as a single; as a double, it pushes best with the heavier child in the rear.
  • Excellent canopy with zip-out extension and mesh peekaboo window.
  • Great twin option for the price (save with link & code EMSTROLLER).
  • Heavy and bulky: measured 33 lbs as a single and 40 lbs as a double, large folded footprint.
  • Requires two hands to adjust almost everything on the stroller, which is not my favorite.
  • Toddler seat is a little short for kids 3+, but then you can use the wagon seats.
  • Good value for features and accessories, with reasonable official add-ons available.

23 Different Configurations

MomCozy Changego Configurations

Much like the Cybex Gazelle S, the Momcozy ChangeGo offers various configurations with its built-in and height-adjustable adapters. From extra storage with a basket accessory to great twin options and even a wagon configuration for as your child(ren) grow! Check out the chart above to see different ways you can set up the stroller.

From Top to Bottom

Now, let’s go over the full stroller from top to bottom and see if it is the right choice for you.

Handlebar

The ChangeGo features a leatherette handlebar that feels solid and has a high-end look. It’s adjustable and can be set to a very low height or raised to a decent 42.6 inches, making it suitable for both taller and shorter parents.

Canopy

The canopy on both the bassinet and toddler seat impressed me. There’s a zip-out extension panel that provides very good sun coverage, and a mesh peekaboo window that stays open or closed. Both the bassinet and the stroller seat feature mesh on the sides for added airflow.

In wagon mode, there is no canopy coverage for the seats, which is the biggest downside of that mode. I try to remember to have my kids wear hats when we go on our morning walks with it in wagon mode.

Toddler Seat (recline, weight limit, harness, comfort, reversibility)

The toddler seat is modular and works up to 50 lbs. It offers 3 height positions on the frame, allowing you to adjust it closer to or further from the parent or down in the lower position (I did not find these adapters necessary when used as a single, unless using the basket accessory). The recline is good, but not suitable for newborns (use a bassinet instead). It has no rethread harness, and the buckles are easy to use. When used with two toddler seats in double mode, they are the same size, making it a great twin double stroller.

Two limitations to note: first, the seat back is not as tall as some competitors. My three-and-a-half-year-old, who is tall, no longer fits comfortably in this seat with the canopy on (we just took it off when using the seat with her, but you might as well just use the wagon seat). Second, many adjustments require two hands to operate, meaning no holding a baby while you are making the adjustments.

Bumper Bar

The stroller includes a bumper bar that can be opened with one hand to help your child in or out. It also detaches if you need to reduce the folded size or want to clean it.

Footrest

The seat has an adjustable footrest, which is great as your child grows. It’s simple and durable, with a plastic protector where your child’s shoes may scuff the fabric.

Brake

The brake is flip-flop friendly. Press down on the red portion with your foot to lock, and then press the green release to unlock. It’s easy to reach and operate, even when your hands are full, which is particularly useful on grocery runs or late-night walks.

Basket and Storage

As a single, the storage basket is large and accessible, and can hold up to 20 lbs (19.8 lbs, according to their website). When used as a double, access can depend on your configuration. If you use it as a single or with two toddler seats, you usually have reasonable access. With the bassinet or wagon seats, the basket becomes harder to use, or you may lose it entirely because your children’s feet occupy that space in wagon mode.

Infant and Car Seat Compatibility

Car seat adapters compatible list shown, Nuna and Maxi-Cosi among supported brandsOne of the biggest wins for parents is that the ChangeGo comes newborn-ready with the included bassinet. If you prefer a car seat, the stroller is compatible with many major brands via adapters, Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, and Clek with this adapter. The stroller does not work with Graco, Chicco, or UPPAbaby car seats (but I have blog posts of what strollers do work with each of these car seats).

Having a bassinet included is practical and something I LOVE in a stroller. Babies should not stay in car seats for longer stretches, so having a bassinet that clicks in and is included can be a game-changer. Many parents will also appreciate that the bassinet can be positioned closer to the parent when used as a double (a feature not found in many tandem/single-to-double strollers).

Folding, Unfolding, and Ease of Use

The ChangeGo folds with a two-step motion: lock the wheels, push a side button, lower the handlebar, and then push it into itself, and then it folds. It is not a one-handed stroller fold. The fold itself is large: even with seats removed, it takes up significant trunk space, which is probably the biggest downside of this stroller. I weighed the stroller at about 33 lbs as a single and 40 lbs as a double. The company lists 35 lbs online, so expect somewhere in that range.

Folding the Momcozy ChangeGo, stroller mid-fold with handlebar lowered

Due to its size and weight, I rarely folded it with the seats attached. My typical routine is to remove the seats, fold the frame, and then fit the seats into the trunk separately. Unfolding is straightforward: release the latch and pull the frame up to an upright position.

Maneuverability & Performance

As a single, the ChangeGo pushes very well! It is smooth, has good suspension, has large rubber wheels, and it handles curbs nicely. As a double, it still pushes well, but you’ll notice it is best when the heavier child is placed on the rear frame. That’s common for tandem strollers: the larger wheels, center of gravity, and extra suspension at the rear improve steering and tracking.

Wagon mode is a standout feature. The ChangeGo wagon seats each carry 75 lbs, so you can carry up to 150 lbs combined. Kids love this mode because they can hop in and out easily. It pushes more like a stroller than most wagons, but lacks canopy coverage, and you lose storage. If you plan morning walks in direct sun, consider hats or umbrellas for little ones in wagon seats.

Who Is the Momcozy ChangeGo Best For?

Double mode configuration with toddler seats and bassinet, showing versatility

I always say single-to-double strollers are either better as a single or better as a double, never both. This is because no stroller can truly do it all. The Momcozy ChangeGo is going to be a big single, but a great double stroller. It has a larger frame, good wheels and pushes well as a single. Here are some of the families I would recommend this stroller for:

  • Parents expecting twins who want two bassinets or two toddler seats (same size) or a wagon.
  • Families who want a stroller that adapts from newborn to big-kid stroller (with wagon mode).
  • Parents who value an included newborn bassinet over buying adapters separately.
  • Those who prioritize push quality and versatility (23 configurations) over a lightweight, compact fold.

If you need a compact, lightweight stroller because you have very limited storage or trunk space, this may not be the best stroller for you. If you value configurations and having the bassinet close to parents, this is a good choice.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Momcozy ChangeGo

Is the Momcozy ChangeGo newborn-ready?

Yes. The bassinet is included, allowing you to use the stroller from birth without a car seat adapter. The bassinet features a padded mattress, ventilation, and a sturdy frame, allowing it to be set on the floor. However, it is not approved for overnight sleep.

How heavy is the Momcozy ChangeGo?

I weighed the ChangeGo at about 33 lbs in single setup and about 40 lbs with a seat and bassinet attached. The company lists it at around 35 lbs.

What car seats work with the ChangeGo?

The stroller supports adapters for Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, and Clek. It does not support Graco, Chicco, or UPPAbaby car seats, and Momcozy does not plan to add those brands.

Can the ChangeGo really turn into a wagon?

Yes. The ChangeGo has wagon seats rated at 75 lbs each. The wagon mode is a real selling point if your kids like to hop in and out, and it pushes more like a stroller, which is nice for parents. The tradeoffs are no canopy coverage and reduced basket storage.

How easy is it to fold?

The fold requires two hands and produces a fairly large folded package. You can remove seats to make the folded frame smaller. If you have a small trunk, I probably wouldn’t get this stroller.

Does it fold with seats attached?

Technically, yes, but the fold is very large with seats on. I usually remove the seats before folding for easier trunk storage.

Are there any significant annoyances I should be aware of?

Several adjustments need two hands, including the fold. The seat back height is shorter than that of many competitors, so taller toddlers may outgrow it quickly (but you do have a wagon seat option). It is also on the heavier side and big when folded.

Is the Momcozy ChangeGo good for Twins?

Yes! This is a great option for twin parents! It can hold two bassinets, two toddler seats (that are the same size), and has two wagon seats.
