Welcome to my Nuna TRVL DUBL vs. Silver Cross Jet Double comparison, where I break down everything you need to know about these two side-by-side double strollers—so you can decide if either one is worth it. Both promise a lightweight, compact fold and easy maneuverability, but which one delivers when you’re juggling two kids, a diaper bag, and your sanity?
I’ll be honest—I wanted to love the Nuna TRVL DUBL right away. Nuna tends to nail its stroller designs, and the idea of an easy fold, smooth double stroller was pretty tempting. On the flip side, the Silver Cross Jet Double is compact, lightweight, and more affordable, so I had high hopes for both.
But after months of testing, I was surprised by what mattered in day-to-day use. Some features were a dream, while others… not so much. There’s no perfect stroller (I say this all the time), but my goal is to help you figure out which is right for you in this season of life.
Why Trust Me?
Looking for honest baby gear reviews you can trust? I get it. When I was pregnant with my first, I struggled to find real, mom-tested reviews that didn’t feel like sales pitches. That’s why I started The Stroller Mom—because baby gear is an investment, and every parent wants the best for their kids.
Since then, I’ve helped thousands of parents like you navigate the overwhelming world of baby gear by sharing my honest experiences. As a mom of three kids ages four and under, I personally use every product I recommend, sharing what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between—so you can make the right choice for your family. I’ve tested over 80 strollers and know the details that matter in daily life.

Nuna TRVL DUBL vs. Silver Cross Jet Double Quick Summary
If you don’t have time to read the whole post, here are the key takeaways:
- The Nuna TRVL DUBL costs more at $900, while the Jet Double is $800 (though you’ll need an adapter if you want to use a car seat). *The Jet and Nuna price has gone up due to Tariffs…
- The Jet Double is noticeably lighter and more compact, making lifting in and out of the car easier.
- The Nuna has a one-handed fold that stands on its own, while the Jet folds compactly and can be pulled like luggage. It also stands on its own, but is a little harder to balance.
- The Nuna is better for all-terrain due to its larger wheels and suspension (probably where the added weight is coming from).
- The Jet has a snack tray available (which I love), while the Nuna offers a travel bag with included warranty.
- The Nuna’s basket is easier to access, but both strollers hold the same amount of weight.
- The Nuna has a bassinet mode, a better recline, and zippered mesh ventilation, while the Jet has an more padded seats, and better canopies.
- The Nuna is only compatible with Nuna car seats, while the Jet works with multiple brands if you buy an adapter.

How much does each cost, and what do you get?
Nuna TRVL DUBL: Priced at $900, it comes with a rain cover.
Jet Double: Priced at $800 this one also comes with a rain cover.
Notably, the Jet Double requires an adapter to be used with a car seat, while the Nuna’s bumper bar makes it compatible with Nuna car seats. The Jet Double used to be about $100 cheaper with the car seat adapter than the TRVL DUBL, but that has recently changed.
Nuna TRVL DUBL vs. Silver Cross Jet Double Overview
The Nuna TRVL DUBL and the Jet Double can hold up to 50 lbs in each seat and can only hold one infant car seat at a time. Both strollers are Disney-approved, and they fit through standard doors. They both have accessories: the Jet Double has a snack tray, which I love, while the Nuna has a travel bag with an extended one-year warranty covering the stroller in case it gets damaged.

Canopies
The canopies are pretty similar. Both are adjustable; the Jet has an extension that just tucks in, and the Nuna has a zip-out extension with mesh on the sides. When it is not extended, the Nuna canopy covers your hands on the handlebar, and some people find this annoying (anyone else, or just me?).
The Nuna peek-a-boo window has a magnet closure, but it doesn’t stay open on its own. The Jet peek-a-boo window also has a magnet closure but stays open much better, but you have to step back to see your child. After lots of use, I like the peak-a-boo window on the TRVL Dubl better and the canopies on the Jet Double better because they come out more for my toddlers.
Seats
The seat back for both strollers is a little shorter at 17 inches, but my two-year-old could still recline comfortably for a nap. The upright position is really nice and high for both strollers, the recline is a little better on the Nuna (newborn recline), and it also has zippered mesh ventilation on the back.
Both strollers have a 5-point harness. The Nuna is no-rethread, which I find super nice, because the Jet has to be manually adjusted for different-sized kids. Nuna’s buckles are also a little nicer; both are magnetic, but the Jet is a bit finicky (my husband much prefers the Nuna buckles).
Both strollers also have adjustable footrests. Lastly, the Nuna has a pretty cool bassinet mode for the seat. It has a panel under the seat that you just pull out and snap in place.
Car Seat Compatibility
Both strollers have bumper bars: the Nuna has a single bar across both seats, while the Jet has one on each seat. One of the strongest selling points of Nuna TRVL is that it pairs so seamlessly with the Nuna car seat; it just sits on the bumper bar and locks into place.
The Jet Double’s bumper bars are great for letting your toddlers in and out, but the car seat adapter replaces the bar, so you cannot use a snack tray when using the car seat adapter. The Jet Double adapter is compatible with Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, Nuna, and several other car seats, while the Nuna TRVL will ONLY work with Nuna Pipa car seats.
Pulling and Pushing the Stroller
One really cool feature of the Jet Double is that when it’s folded, you can actually pull it like you would a suitcase. The Jet is not an all-terrain stroller, but it pushes nicely on paved surfaces despite its small wheels. The Nuna handles all-terrain much better and is super smooth on various surfaces. It handles really well, especially for a double stroller.
Some parents have DMed me on Instagram about both strollers getting stuck on terrain changes and jolting the stroller forward. To a certain extent this is true for every stroller, but it happens more often on the Jet because of the small wheels, so keep that in mine on any terrain changes. For the Nuna TRVL Dubl it does not happen often, but when it does it can catch you off guard, so be mindful of this and always have a good grip on your stroller.
Fold Comparison
It’s not much of a comparison here. The Nuna TRVL Double stroller’s best feature is probably its single-hand-release automatic fold.
The Jet is a two hand trigger release to close, and it also requires two hands to open again. When closed, it’s a more compact fold than the Nuna.
Both strollers stand on their own when folded.
Weight Comparison
The Jet weighs just under 20 lbs, and it still feels really solid. The Nuna weighs 25 lbs, which is still quite light; it’s just a little bit more awkward to load and unload from a vehicle.
Basket Capacity
Each stroller can hold up to 22 lbs in its basket, which is fantastic. Nuna’s basket is a little easier to use since the Jet stroller basket has to be accessed from the front. Both strollers have very tall handlebars that are not adjustable, which could be uncomfortable if you’re on the shorter side.
So, which one is right for my family?
The Jet Double is a little more affordable, works with more car seat brands, and is lighter option while still having a lot of really nice features. It also has an awesome snack tray (though expensive). This is a great option for families out of the car seat stage, because of the snack tray and the ease of getting kids in and out with bumper bars on each individual seat and the canopies that come out wider.
The Nuna TRVL DUBL gives you the bumper bar, the no-rethread straps, a smoother push, and the super cool fold. If you’re a Nuna person, you won’t regret the extra cost of this stroller, especially with the seamless pairing with their car seats. I love this stroller when paired with a Nuna Pipa Car Seat and the basket is amazing!
